FoOT-Tality!
- Main Entry:
- fa·tal·i·ty
- Pronunciation:
- \fā-ˈta-lə-tē, fə-\
- 1 a: the quality or condition of being destined for disaster
- 2: something established by fate
... thats the term my husband always use if something goes wrong. If a glass slipped from your hands and breaks, if you accidentally cut yourself with a cutter or a knife, etc.
It is Sasha's 1st day in summer reading class and we are running late. Good thing Jason woke up early so I had a chance to bring him to school as well. We still don't have a maid so no one will take care of him at home. Hubby is still asleep. Been working all night in one of the websites he is designing. I think he slept around 530am already.
Sasha seemed fine inside the car but I know that she is scared going to a new school with new teachers and new set of playmates. But I assured her that the teacher is good.
She leaned on my side and squeezed my left hand when we are almost in the school. Pati ako na te-tense na for her. Hahahaha! Alas! she was hesitant to go down the car and enter the school premises. Akala mo sa hospital mo dinala and afraid to take her shots... tsk tsk tsk
.. I pulled out a chair and sat on it and she sat on me instead of sitting on the chair beside me and she hugged me tight, hid her face from everyone as she cries : " I wanna go home, I dont like it here.. I want to go home! "
It was 9:10am, Teacher Rochelle called everyone in front so they can start. Sasha stayed with me still.. ( on top of me arrghhh. ) Her weight cut-off the blood's circulation from my legs. Sakit!
She sat on me for a good 1 hour. Then I wondered my my 2nd toe from my right foot is aching. I looked at it. It seems fine. I said to myself, maybe sasha had stepped on it kaya masakit. I didnt mind it that much.
But after sometime, the pain seem stronger. It was so sharp that I am beginning to feel uneasy. I asked sasha to sit on the chair beside me but she thinks I was just tricking her so she didn't follow. I tried to move her to my left side a little so I can check my toe again.
Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! there's blood on my foot already. lots of it!
I feel shy to call the teacher's attention. This means I will be disturbing their class. So I called one of her assistant instead and showed her my foot. She was shocked but I said, I am ok.. dont call teacher. I just need a bandaid. So she went down to get some. But she also called the directress' attention na din pala. They asked me to come to St. Lukes.. but I declined. I said I am fine. I just need a bandiad. But they insisted..
So I obliged out of embarrassment.
The doctor said that my nail was lifted from its nail bed 50% Ouchy !
It will still re-attach itself , I just need to put a little pressure on it and avoid getting it wet for several days <--------- WHAT? several days.. naku.. acrobatics to sa banyo! hahahaha
Ito siya.. bad trip talaga! FATALITY! este FOOT-tality!
Paano naman ako mamamalenke?

Whispering sweet Nothings to kids
My mom would do that too.. I would wake up at times and noticing my mom talking to me as I sleep. Well she thought too I am asleep. I remember her saying sweets thoughts that she loves me, some are part of her dreams for us, words of thankfulness and even apologies if she gets mad at me over petty little things.
All those sweet whispers lingered not only in my mind but in my heart - until now. I can still remember the night my mom said she hopes that I would still be there for her when I grew up. That I could still take time to spend some moments with her.
That is the reason why I still take time to take her out and spend some great time with her even though I have my own family now.
Wow the power of sweet whispers... they say it innocently as their child sleeps but the message do get embedded deep within.
Now that I am a mom... I do that too to my kids. I whisper thoughts to them as they sleep. Things that I am sometimes scared or shy to tell them when they are awake. I often say that I love them ( well i do that even when they are awake ) and I say sorry if I got mad. I explain to them things.. stuff and even share my dreams.
I am hoping that they can somehow hear that like me they can still remember those words even when they are already old.
Daddy's girl
It made me reminisce how my life was when I was young. I grew up seeing my Dad come and go. I didnt ask questions before thinking thats how life was. There are times that he would come home and I would fear him.. ( i think i was 3 then but its still very vivid in my mind ). He came home one day with tons of bags with him. Lotsa goodies too. But I was just sitting on the sofa feeling so scared that a stranger just entered our home. He's not familiar.. But mom said he's my father and worst... mom was urging me to come near him and kiss him.
After a week or so , he is off to go to another another place.
Then when I turned prep , thats when I realize ohhh thats my dad. He is abroad working as an architect inside the US bases in Japan ( that time ). He calls us up every week just to say Hi... i wont talk to him personally but in the background I would always cry and say Uwi na.. uwi na si Daddy ( shocks I still get teary eyed remembering all those ). My mom would ask me what I like just to make me stop crying but I insisted.. "wala ako gusto.. uwi na... uwi na and I say that line over and over again as i cry. Gosh sorry mom , now I realized that must have broke your heart further. =(
I was in Grade 2 when Dad sent us a Hello kitty family calendar ( NOV yun ). That calendar was so cute... Its a big house with lotsa window.. color blue with gold stars, chimney etc.
The whole Hello kitty family is there. Each window shows the months of the year and in each window you open Dad already wrote important dates like birthdays and anniversaries. And I was glad to see a big note that says : " Daddy will be home!" on the 23rd of February.
I would always look at that calendar until it hits february. Thats how excited I am - to see him back home. But unfortunately... Dad usually stays only a week ... the longest is 2 weeks. And everytime its time for him to go back to work ... the night before as he thought I was sleeping... he would whisper sweet stuff as he sits beside me. He would always remind me that he loves us so so much. That he will miss us when he goes back to Japan. But dont fret for he'll always think of us and buy us good stuff. He always tells me to be a good girl and a good student.. to help mom in every way we could.
All those whispers were outhered ..as he thought I was asleep but I was just pretending. We bonded all night just being close to each other ... He sat there all night until its time for him to pack and go.
It hurts that when I come back from school.. my dad for 2 weeks is gone. And it will take another 2or 3 years before I see him again.
Good thing when I reached 7 yrs old, Dad decided to take us with him to his next destination... Korea. So we could be together for a longer time. Hmm maybe thats the reason why Korea is one of the memorable places I visited. I enjoyed it there... living there, playing with other koreans eventhough they dont speak in english. I studied there too ( seoul academy school ) and had lotsa friends. But all of it wouldnt be as fun .. if we were not together as a FAMILY!

Nineteen things to say to children
2. You are amazing! I look at you with wonder! Not just at what you can do, but who you are. There is no one like you. No one!
3. It's alright to cry. People cry for all kinds of reasons: when they are hurt, sad, glad or worried, when they are angry, afraid or lonely. Big people cry to. I do.
4. You've made a mistake. That was wrong. People make mistakes, I do. Is it something that we can fix? What can we do? It's all over . You can start fresh. I know you are sorry . I forgive you.
5. You did the right thing. Was that scary or hard? Even though it wasnt easy , you did it! I am proud of you. You should be too.
6. Im sorry, Forgive me. I made a mistake.
7. You can change your mind. It's good to decide but it is also fine to change.
8. What a great idea! You were really thinking. How did you come up with that? Tell me more. You're mind is clever.
9. That was kind. You did something helpful and thoughtful for that person. That must make you feel good inside. Thank you!
10. I have a surprise for you. It's not your birthday. It's for no reason at all. Just a surprise, a little one but a surprise.
11. I can wait. We have time. You dont have to huryy this time.
12. What would you like to do? Its your turn to pick. You have great ideas. Its important to follow your special interest.
13. Tell me about it. I'd like to hear more. And then what happened? I'll listen.
14. Im right here. I wont leave without saying goodbye. I am watching you. I am listening to you.
15. Please and Thank you. There are important words. If I forget to use them, will you remind me?
16. I missed you. I think about you when we are not together.
17. Just try. A little bit. One taste. One step. You might like it. Let's see. I'll help you if you need it. I think you can do it.
18. I'll help you. I heard you call me. Here I am. How can I help you? If we both work together we can get this done. I know you can do it by yourself, but I am glad to help since you asked.
19. What do you wish for? Even if it's not yet time for birthday candles and we dont have a wishbone, its still fun to hear what you wish for, hope for and dream about.

* This article is a great way to stop for awhile and think if we as parents are still on the right track. If we are still being great parents to our kinds. It's ok to check from time to time and make necessary adjustments so that we can mold our children to the right path the best we could =)

| USB Kitty - Its finally free and flying! |
Love the color changing lights on her wand... sound of her fluttering wings...and the Ting sound? reminds me of the bell that is situated in every hotel counter in town. Press it and your friendly customer service assistant will come to your aid.
USB Angel Kitty : officially spreaded her wings Aug 15, 2007 9:29pm
I hate inconsiderate - senseless acts.
Sheesshhh because it was over kill - it could even kill us. The scent was so strong I could smell it here on the 2nd floor. Now I hear someone coughing hard on the other unit... thats how strong it was. I felt - my mechado was even ruined - poisoned. Ang tapang talaga....
My throat tingled - in pain. My head spinned a little... I was not kidding. I was literally poisoned by a spray before so I know when its too much. When headache , throat tingling, vomiting, hearing got lost/impaired , difficulty breathing - thats a sign.. get out breathe fresh air. Now I have at least 2 of the warning signs....
Hay .... funny thing about it is - they are spraying shit downstairs ( sorry for the word ) fearing all bugs and I'm sure dengue carrying mosquitos and yet they still left the fountain rain water full... checked it 2 days after the past storm ( ang tagal na diba ) kiti - kiti was already breading there... eh its been a week. Malamang mosquito na silang lahat.
Bat di ko sabihin- Hahahaha... i do. Sa dami na nga I look like a horrible , freaking arte girl na nga for pointing ( NICELY ) all that needs to be taken cared off (alot of times). But sorry for me they dont listen to innocent looking girls. What do I know right? Im just a stay at home mom. Ha-huh!
Hummmmm.... breathe in Breathe out. I am here now in my bedroom. Opened the air filter I recently got. Close shut the door and windows... opened the aircon instead. Will try to relax though I am close to feeling like a volcano.
Damn... di man lang naisip my kids just felt well after having a terrible asthma attack last week. They were absent for a long time because of that. Buti na lang talaga wala pa sila due to floods caused by heavy rains. Blessing in disguise.

Husband and Wife is destined to be together...
Thumb represents your Parents
Second (Index) finger represents your Siblings
Middle finger represents your-Self
Fourth (Ring) finger represents your Life Partner
& the Last (Little) finger represents your children
Firstly, open your palms (face to face), bend the middle fingers and hold them together - back to back
Secondly, open and hold the remaining three fingers and the thumb - tip to tip
(As shown in the figure below):
Now, try to separate your thumbs (representing the parents)..., they will open, because your parents are not destined to live with you lifelong, and have to leave you sooner or later.
Please join your thumbs as before and separate your Index fingers (representing siblings)... ., they will also open, because your brothers and sisters will have their own families and will have to lead their own separate lives.
Now join the Index fingers and separate your Little fingers (representing your children)... ., they will open too, because the children also will get married and settle down on their own some day.
Finally, join your Little fingers, and try to separate your Ring fingers (representing your spouse).
You will be surprised to see that you just CANNOT....., because Husband & Wife have to remain together all their lives - through thick and thin!!
Please try this out......... ....
ISN'T THIS A LOVELY THEORY?

Foreman for a minute or two...
Anyway... now this time.. its my turn. Hmmm 1st time ko to puntahan. 1 Year pa lang kasi ako nag da drive.
Near Robinsons place... I saw a sign... "Basement Parking ---->" I turned right. And went extreme left ( thinking its like Megamall when you're headed to its parking. ) But I was wrong... Its a taxi lane ( sige tawa... bonk! ) So I immediately went back to left lane - The van behind me was irritated para kasi akong sawa! you know what I mean. I moved slowly... planning my next move. The van behind me is getting irritated already... I said to myself : "naku wag kang magugulo, nakita na ngang naliligaw e " hahahah
at the corner I turned right.. then I saw another sign. "Basement parking <------" so I turned left and Voila! I saw an opening. Magulo.. may construction. I dunno where to go next so I just followed the Fiera type jeep in front of me. I saw the guard wave at me at the entrance waiting for him to hand me a card - ah wala pa baka sa taas.
We moved up... and up.. it was steep! Creepy Dark Parking! 1st floor says "Tops Off area"
Hmmm.. Ah baka Restaurant Parking.. Reserved!
2nd floor ganun din...
3rd floor ahh wala sarado may harang ..
4th -Tadah! Finally.
errrr teka bat walang mirrors ang windows? Bad dami construction boy? Bakit walang daan sa Robinsons.
Thats when it hit me... Dang! Di naman to parking ng Robinsons ha!?? Stella!!! Ok ka lang you're in fourth floor... we are suppose to go to BASEMENT parking nga! Hahahaha
Me and my mom were scaredly laughing at ourselves. Sige deadma Hanapin ang pababa. Kunwari we own the place... wag pahalatang mapapahiya.
Ayan... they are looking at us na .. Sabi ng isa.. Uy magsi-ayos kayo, ayan na ang foreman" Hahahah Astig! Ganda naman ng Kotse ng foreman nyo. Ang mommy bumanat. Sa bagay anak when I visit a site ganyan din naman.. puro lalaki ako lang babae - Mom kasi is an architect and yes I will proudly announce that she partly designed CCP!
The Fiera in front of us stopped na... wahhh san ang pababa.. sus ginagawa pa. San na .. Oh well...
Maya maya pa ayan na ang guard... hingal na hingal in his 60's by the way.
Miss miss san po ba kayo? He said
I smiled and cheerfully said: " Manong! Mali po ako sorry ... san po ba ang pababa at sa Robinsons kami e ."
"Pasensiya na ha.. di ko kabisado."
Di Ko naisip , pero si mommy sabi niya.. hala 4th floor tinakbo niya para lang abutan tayo hahahahha... Oh my gosh! OO nga ano. ang bilis ha. di pa nagiinit gulong natin sa tuktok aba nandyan na siya.
"Hitch mo na , Hitch mo na " my mom requested me. Naawa si mommy as in.. ako Im busy panicking sa totoo lang di lang nila nakikita hahahhaa.
So the guard went in and warned me: "ahh miss busina ka pababa ha kasi may makakasalubong ka ".
I opened my lights .. beeped a few times. Cant do it continuously kasi nga ikot ikot manibela. Paano mo naman ma honk horns mo ok sana kung ang busina nasa gitna. eh nasa side kaya?! so malamang pumilipit din ang kamay mo kakabusina hahahha.
1 more floor to go and aaak! Fork lift nasa harap ko. Nagkagulatan pa sus! Naku manong sabihan mo baba po ako ( hahaha foreman nga ) ..
Guard:" sige sige dito na lang ako "
Ahh thankfully madali naman for the fork lift mag reverse... at may instant guard guide ako mag-maniubra papunta sa isang butas tungo sa BASEMENT parking.
Salamat manong Bless you po!
My new hair cut from almost waist area to this....
I was at the mall pretty early today... It was still closed when I arrived. So I waited for 5 minutes before they finally open. I went up and got some baby supplies. Then it hit me - "I better have my hair cut now or I'll never will..."
So my feet lead me to David's salon in front of Flawless Beauty salon. At first I was thinking I will just update my layers. It'll still be long but the layers more pronounced. I waited for maybe 10 minutes before my hairdresser DORIS showed up. By that time, I said to myself - I will cut my har short this time. So this is the result of my long over due haircut! love it... but its not the best ... I loved the past haircut I had with doris - the one where I had my long straight hair layered.
I went back home... and I feel I wanted to make it shorter - OH NO! wag naman. I will end up looking like a boy na naman... Gwapo nga pero its an icky feeling when tomboys come up to you and yyyiikes! nevermind - I dont want to continue.
Hay: long cut / short cut - i can never look like a mommy.. oh well embrace the young look na lang.. heheheh
Hello! kitty.......

Here are some of my Kitty buys lately.... thats what makes Mommy stella happy - aside from kiddos and hubby of course. |
Those cutie kitty relieves me of stress ... pagod etc. As hubby would say - something to look forward too each day .... Its a pretty magastos liking though.
Hmmm... how am i doing lately. Been pretty tired for 2 weeks now. Kids are always sick either from viral infections or asthma attacks. Last wed, two kids sasha and jace were suffering from terrible asthma attack that we have to rush them to the Hospital. Its a pretty nasty one. Jace eyes were rollin up due to difficulty of breathing. Sasha on the other hand was crying becaise she said her chest was sooooo painful. Agaw hininga talaga. It happened so fast . We were just sleeping that afternoon and when I woke up I saw them rolling to and fro the bed. Then they told me mama ouch.... and thats it.
Have to nebulize them every 20 mins at first - palitan sila. Then every 4 hrs for 2 days so basically I havent got any sleep during those times. Wala pa naman me yaya to help me feed Jace while I feed Sasha. So palitan kamay ko sa kanila. Twas hard but what mothers are here for right?
Now they are relatively better... hope by tomorrow they are well na. Im praying... that they outgrow asthma soon.

High tide or Low Tide - Kyle's version
Well just right after dinner Kyle had a similar witty question....
We went outside after eating... when Kyle noticed the moon.
He said: "Mama, what kind of moon is that?"
Mama: " Crescent anak..." I even wondered and checked if my answer is correct. Dont want to give him a wrong information.
Kyle added: " I know mama... but what kind of a crescent is it?
Mama:" huh? you mean to say there is more to it than being a crescent? Apologies anak but what do you mean... "
Kyle:" ah kasi there are types of crescent.. is it waxing or Wanning?"
Wahhh meron pa pala nun.... gosh...
Ang tamang sagot my dears ... its a wanning crescent after all.
Hay... when my son kyle asks a question more often its doesnt usually mean that he doesnt know it and is seeking for answers... its more of I am in a hot seat and I was being tested if I knew the answer. Gulp! Better keep up and read what he reads... lol!
I love you!
I often do this and choose a very unfamiliar timing...
Sometimes I would jump into their side , hug them , squeezing them a little bit and saying : " I love you baby! Mwah mwah mwah! "
There are times that my kids will just take it and say I love you too... but there are times that they would ask me why... now this is the moment I've been waiting for.
When they ask me: " why are you saying i love you mama? " I would tell them:
" I said I love you because I felt how much I love you."
"There shouldn't be any occasion to say it my dear... if you feel it say it! "
I just want them be at ease when we their parents say it to them. So everyday i often as in OFTEN say it to them ....
Now I am happy because they also got the habit. Out of nowhere they would just come up to me and say " I love you" sometimes while I watch TV, surf the net, when they had done something wrong , when they sense I am down, when I am angry or simply while we are eating or having fun!.....
I also like the fact that they say I loe you also to our kasambahay...
Make it a habit... its not embarrassing to say I love you to someone that means so much to you!
And before I forget - - - -
I love you friends!
Great wednesday morning...

The reason why I was not posting much stuff in here is because I was sick for 4 days now. I had been taking care of my sick children - 1 after the other ( gosh ) that stress got into me - boom! I too got sick. Everybody fears it was dengue since my temperature would rise up to 43 degrees. But thank God it was just a viral infection too....
My typical day , after taking kids to school is to sit down relax for awhile as I defrost some meats for cooking. Open my laptop and do some surfing, chatting and mailing lotsa friends.
But yesterday was different. I woke up late ( 8:00am) and decided to just drink milk for breakfast. Cant take too much food lately.
As I drink my milk I surfed the net and chance upon my good friend CES. We had a little talk. Until a very familiar sound very distinct of an Air21 van arrived. I anticipated their every move - opening and closing of doors, doorbell sound, maids footsteps rushing towards our main door.... and the sweetest of all.. loud footsteps coming the stairs sounding much stronger as my Ate nears me. Yey! there was indeed a package for me!
This package carries alot of Marie and hello kitty stuff. Kitty for me and Marie for my daughter ... who decided to collect also like me. It made my day no doubt. Felt much much better seeing all those loots.
I waved farewell to my friend as I excitedly went into opening the package.. taking pictures of it and whats inside... Awwwww they were all nice. =)
Gotta catch them all.....

Sasha's been sick for almost a week. She caught some viral infection at school... Hay... she's a picky eater until now maybe thats the reason her resistance to sickness is down.
While at home she entertains herself by watching movies, eating fruits and painting all sorts of stuff.
But her favorite is this .... she likes to draw and paint CLEFA , a very cute coral colored pokemon.
Eversince I bought her a clefa stuff toy from my friend VT, she practically adopted it as if it was a pet. It eats , sleeps with her. It got its own bed, blanket, pillows and yes space on her bed.
If VT could see clefa now, he would probably faint! You see clefa was played well... and by this time she needs some washing.... so Vt go figure. I dont wanna post her pix and make you faint. Hehehe

Relaxing retreat within SM north edsa
Upon entering the hallway, you'll see Thailand inspired interiors, relaxing mellow lights and alot of small rooms. Each rooms has a lazy boy and big pillows. This is the first time that I had my nails done and at the same time could really relax. I don't adjust my body , arms and legs for the attendant - she adjust to me.
After all my nails are done I asked the girl to give me 5 minutes to relax and wait for my nails to dry further. She willingly said yes and closed the curtains. My session at relaxsasi gave me time to unwind and yes RELAX especially that these past 2 weeks was a terrible terrible week.
It gave me time to rejuvenate my senses... talk to God, and plan for the coming week.
I actually walked out of the mall feeling much much better and feeling positive again... until-
"holy smoke!" I said to myself as I walk out of SM mall doors and see the pollution caused by buses, cars and jeep along edsa. Oh well... back to some old unsightly environment. But nonetheless I still feel good. I'm okay and ready to go through life's challenges again.
